The successful candidate will perform analysis, obtain information, and enter prior authorization data necessary for claims adjudication. Utilization Management Technician Pay and Benefits:

• Hourly pay: $28/hr
• Worksite: One of the most prestigious and well-known universities (Los Angeles, CA 90045 - Open to remote candidates in the United States, Must work Pacific time office hours)
• W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program
• 40 hours/week, 6 Month Assignment

Utilization Management Technician Responsibilities:

• Receive urgent, routine, pre-service, and retro authorization requests, as well as process prior authorization requests with accuracy and timeliness.
• Use various business applications to perform analysis, obtain information, and enter prior authorization data necessary for claims adjudication.
• Use your critical thinking skills to identify missing information and make prior authorization processing determinations based on clinical protocols and other guidelines.
• Interact with internal and external customers to provide and obtain information and ensure the delivery of outstanding service and quality.

Utilization Management Technician Qualifications:

• Coordinator and health plan experience.
• EMR experience, EPIC is preferred.

Utilization Management Technician Shift:

• Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 m - Pacific Time office hours.
